Partly Cloudy App Reviews

Very rad

Very innovative. Found this because I was using same weather provider (met) in an Emacs package weather-metno.el. Kind of wished it was easier to see cloudy versus sunny, but everything else is really easy to "read" at a glance and a spin

Like it a lot

Simple to use, fun, refreshingly innovative. I have found the Metreologisk Institutt weather info is not as accurate as the Open Weather Map choice, and wind is shown in a wind force scale I cant get used to. Id be happier if it showed wind direction and speed. I like how you can go back in time to see conditions earlier in the day. No other weather app does that that I know of.

Info-graphic Weather

Practically perfect in almost every way. Has ability to communicate your mood, the actual weather and an activity that you might want to be doing. Oddly, there is no baseball icon.

Love this app

Ive tried a lot of slick weather apps, this one is by far my favorite. Perfect combination of style, function, and information.

One suggestion

Better, simpler design for a weather app. Tells you what you need to know and skips what you dont.

Minimal and efficient

I had been searching for the right balance between minimalism and information in my weather apps. This one fulfils both criteria while having a beautiful appearance.

Stay Away...not actively updated

Its a shame. It was a nice app. But it doesnt seem to be actively updated. Last update in 12/2014! Stay away. 3 requests for support, no response. Foolishly made an in-app purchase before checking the update log. Purchase caused it to crash. Deleted it, rebooted my 6s and my purchase was gone. Take my advise, stay away. Shouldnt Apple monitor the activity level of the apps on its store? I was ripped off!!

Best UX weather app

Of course! A clock! What a brilliant way to pack so much information into a glanceable format. I am blown away by how intuitive this app is. It does not need updates, its basically perfect for what it does though an iPad native version would be nice, it still looks great scaled up on iPads

Fantastic interface; not great forecasts

The best way for compactly and concisely delivering weather information Ive ever seen, and Ive looked at probably 30-40 weather apps. Unfortunately, the quality of the forecast doesnt match that of the interface. They offer two choices for forecast source: A Norwegian weather bureau, and Open Weather Map. They are significantly less accurate for the US states Ive used it in, than any other weather app Ive tried. I wish they could use a more accurate source, because I love their interface, but accuracy is more important.

Great app

It needs to be updated for newer devices. I love it dough

Beautiful, but I wish...

It really is one of the best ideas of "minimal" weather display out there. My only wishes for it are that it be available for iPad, have a nightstand (read: landscape) option, and that it update live, so it could be displayed in a dock as an ongoing weather display. Really a beautiful design that begs for further development!
